16 Air Assault Brigade of which the Battalion is part of.

The Brigades name is derived from the 1st and 6th Airborne Divisions of World War 2.  The striking eagle badge was adopted from the Special Training Centre which was located at Lochailot, Scotland during the war.

The maroon and light blue colours of the badge represents the Airborne and Aviation elements of the Brigade.

This was a well turned out event with good food and excellent speakers. our thanks go to the waitresses Gloria McDiarmid, Helen Campbell, Karen Campbell, Ray Lundi and of course not forgetting the chef Cathy Muir for the excellent food and also Isabel Bell for keeping the bar going.

Speakers at the supper as follows: John Fletcher, Brian Bonner, Dan Kerr, John Maclellan, Tucker McIntosh and Arthur French and not forgetting Frank Rae for piping in the Haggis.
